Portugal nears full vaccination

Portugal was praised in an article earlier this week in The Times newspaper for “giving the rest or Europe a glimpse of what a post-pandemic world might look like”.

The article went on to explain how 84% of the population is now double vaccinated with the infection rate having fallen to just 88 people per 100,000 over the previous 14 days.

What’s more, Portugal has now agreed, since October 4th, to recognise UK Covid vaccination certificates and it is expected that very soon it will no longer be required for double vaccinated passengers to carry out a Covid test ahead of flying to Portugal from the UK. Visitors are advised to check with latest foreign office advice and / or confirm with their airline before travelling.
